FG Partners with Taraba to Boost Economic Development

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Taraba State Government to unlock the state's economic potential in agriculture, energy, tourism, infrastructure, and mineral resources. This announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on Thursday in Jalingo during the Gala night celebrating Taraba State's 35th anniversary and the unveiling of the Taraba Regional Development Master Plan.

Idris conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu and emphasized the importance of the Master Plan as a blueprint for sustainable growth. He praised Governor Agbu Kefas for adopting a long-term development framework and noted that the success of the Master Plan would depend on its implementation and impact on citizens' lives.

The minister highlighted Taraba's opportunities in various sectors and commended the Kefas Administration for its investments in education and infrastructure, including over N1.8 billion allocated for public school examination registrations in 2026. Additionally, he mentioned financing agreements with the ECOWAS Bank for an integrated industrial park and a solar power plant.
