Taraba PDP Caretaker Committee Dissolves State Working Committee

The Taraba State People's Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee, led by Chairman Dr. Falack Victor, has issued an order for the dissolution of the State Working Committee (SWC), instructing its members to leave the party's secretariat.

This directive was made public on Thursday evening, emphasizing that the former SWC members no longer have the right to remain in the secretariat following their removal from office. The committee warned that failure to comply could lead to legal action.

The dissolution is said to align with the legal framework governing party operations, as the committee aims to restore order within the party's structure. This decision comes after a ruling by Justice U.N.

Agomoh of the Federal High Court in Ibadan on January 30, 2026, which nullified the PDP convention held on November 15-16, 2025, declaring the decisions made during that gathering invalid. The caretaker committee has urged party members to focus on rebuilding rather than attacking national leadership.
