Taraba PDP Chairman Obidah Dismisses Division Claims

Bitru Obidah, the chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, has dismissed concerns regarding claims of division within the party. Speaking to journalists in Jalingo, Obidah expressed confidence that the PDP will remain a dominant political force in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He emphasized that the party operates as a single unit under elected leadership, which he stated remains valid. Obidah highlighted the PDP's established structure across all 16 local government areas in Taraba and noted that individuals who previously defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reconsidering their decisions to return to the PDP.

He assured that the party is committed to transparent and fair candidate selection processes for future elections and is focused on building genuine grassroots support. Furthermore, he mentioned ongoing reconciliation efforts at the national level to resolve internal disputes and restore unity within the party.
