Taraba Police Inaugurate New Headquarters to Boost Security

On June 24, 2026, the Taraba State police reaffirmed their commitment to security with the inauguration of a new police headquarters complex in Jalingo. The event was attended by Dr.

Agbu Kefa, the Taraba State Governor, and retired Commissioner of Police Cyril Agyol Abeh, who spoke on behalf of the governor. Moorkwap Sebastian Dongshal, representing the Inspector General of Police, highlighted the significance of the project as a milestone in strengthening police infrastructure and enhancing operational effectiveness across Taraba State.

He emphasized the need for proper maintenance of the facilities and urged officers to uphold professional discipline and respect for human rights. The project, supported by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, is seen as a major boost for security and socio-economic growth in the state.
