ASUU Taraba Issues Final Warning Over Unmet Demands

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Taraba State University, led by Chairman Dr. Joshua Garba Mbave, has issued a final warning to the Taraba State government regarding its failure to honor the 2025 federal government negotiation agreement.

In a press statement, ASUU expressed that the government's neglect of the agreement is a clear indication of disregard for the welfare of academic staff. The union demands immediate action from Governor Agbu Kefa to comply with the agreement, emphasizing that the situation has reached a critical point where they may be forced to embark on an indefinite strike.

The statement highlighted that the government has repeatedly failed to implement the agreement, which includes essential issues such as the payment of outstanding arrears and respect for collective bargaining principles. ASUU insists that their demands are reasonable and necessary for the improvement of university education in Nigeria.
