Yari Faces Challenges Ahead of APC Campaign for 2027

As the 2027 presidential election approaches, many Nigerians are questioning the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Tinubu, particularly in light of ongoing issues such as electricity shortages, poor road conditions, and security challenges. Recently, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) raised the petrol pump price to N1,345 per litre, exacerbating the economic difficulties faced by citizens.

Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, assured party supporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja that the APC is committed to delivering on its electoral promises. However, there is widespread skepticism regarding the party's ability to secure another term, as many believe that the last three years of governance have revealed significant weaknesses in the political structure and have led to increased public disillusionment.

Yari faces a challenging task in convincing Nigerians that the APC deserves another mandate, given the prevailing sentiment of despair regarding the current state of governance.
