TAU Launches Innovative Virtual Dissection Technology

The Technological Advancement University (TAU) has unveiled a groundbreaking virtual dissection technology, described by Vice Chancellor Professor Francisca Oladipo as a landmark achievement in the institution's drive for innovation and academic excellence. The new system, developed in collaboration with Acsclepiu TBK, features an 84-inch interactive 3D platform designed for anatomy, radiology, and surgical simulation.

This significant investment in modern medical training infrastructure positions TAU among the first institutions in Nigeria to integrate a virtual dissection system into its medical curriculum. The technology marks a shift from traditional teaching methods to advanced digital simulations, allowing medical students to explore human anatomy in life-size 3D detail without physical dissection.

The system supports a range of advanced simulations, including virtual dissections of human cadavers and real-time conversions of CT and MRI scans into 3D models for pre-surgical training. Additionally, it offers access to 12,000 curriculum-based assessment questions, enhancing students' diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.

This innovation is expected to significantly improve the quality of medical education in Nigeria.
