TCN Commissions 300MVA Transformer at Egbin Substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has officially commissioned a new 300MVA power transformer at the Egbin substation located in Lagos State. This addition increases the substation's capacity from 300MVA to 450MVA, significantly enhancing bulk power availability for the Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IKEDC) and its customers in Ikorodu, Shagamu, and Ijede areas.

The announcement was made by Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, who noted that the project was completed in a record time of six weeks. Engr.
