TCN Launches Anti-Vandalism Campaign in Ogun State

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) conducted a sensitization program on Thursday in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area, Ogun State, aimed at curbing vandalism of its infrastructures. The event was led by Ndidi Mbah, General Manager of Public Affairs, and Engr.

Adeshina Adeonipekun, General Manager of TCN's Lagos Region. TCN reported 276 cases of tower vandalism from 2022 to 2025, with a significant reduction attributed to improved collaboration with host communities.

The program emphasized the importance of community vigilance and proactive reporting of suspicious activities. Oba Abdulfatai Akored Akamo praised TCN's ongoing efforts and called for regular engagement with the community.

Mr. Olusola Balogun from the NSCDC warned residents against supporting vandalism, stressing that such offenses could lead to imprisonment.

CSP Dapo Ojekunle of the Itori Police Station urged community members to assist law enforcement in reporting vandalism cases to enhance security.
