TCN and Transport Ministry Connect Kano Railway to Grid

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is partnering with the Federal Ministry of Transport to advance plans for connecting the Kano railway station to the national grid. This initiative was discussed during a strategic stakeholder engagement held at TCN's Kano regional headquarters.

The project aims to comply with grid standards and ensure seamless integration into the national transmission network. Attendees included representatives from the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), and project contractor China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).

The grid connection is expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery within Nigeria's transport sector, contributing to the federal government's broader infrastructure development agenda.
