TCN Launches Load & Outage Analytics Platform for Grid Reliability

On August 25, 2026, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) unveiled its Load & Outage Analytics platform at its Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. The event featured a live demonstration attended by management and staff.

Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, Managing Director/CEO of TCN, represented by Engr. Aminu Tahir, General Manager, Programme Coordination, praised the Operations Department for developing the software in-house. The platform aims to enhance visibility, monitoring, and management of the national transmission network, addressing challenges such as fragmented data and slow manual processes.

Engr. Godwin Afamefuna Aguiyi, General Manager, Operations, presented the platform's features, which include unified operations, automated outage classification, governance features, and feeder-level insights. The platform is expected to save billions in lost revenue and strengthen accountability within the power sector.

Mrs. Abiodun Afolabi-Fadahunsi, Executive Director, Human Resources & Corporate Services, reaffirmed TCN's commitment to equipping engineers for national grid stability, marking a significant milestone in TCN's digital transformation journey.
