Nigeria Honors Fallen General and Soldiers in Maiduguri

A burial ceremony was conducted in Maiduguri, Borno State, to honor the late Brigadier General Omo Braimo and other soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for Nigeria. The event took place at Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery and was marked by a heavy atmosphere of grief and respect.

Key figures in attendance included Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Minister of Defence General Christoph Musa (rtd), and the Chief of Defence Staff, alongside senior military officials. Tributes highlighted the gallantry, courage, and unwavering commitment of the deceased soldiers to their duty.

Governor Zulum commended the bravery of the troops and reaffirmed the state government's continued support for the armed forces. The military authorities pledged that the sacrifices of the fallen soldiers would not be in vain, emphasizing their dedication and service to the nation.

A prayer was offered for the repose of their souls, and the national flag was presented to the next of kin as a symbol of gratitude.
