TechRise DTI Encourages Youths to Embrace AI Skills

TechRise DTI, a technology firm, called on youths to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital skills during a webinar titled “The AI Advantage: Who Will Benefit More from AI Usage?” held on Thursday. Emmanuel Brendan, a director at TechRise, stated that the training aims to transition participants from basic AI awareness to practical applications, providing training, technical support, and opportunities for developing AI-powered solutions.

He highlighted the high unemployment rate among African youths, emphasizing the need for practical skills in the digital marketplace. Richard Pepple, CEO of Technoville Nigeria, delivered the keynote lecture, noting that AI could create approximately 117 million jobs but may also displace around 92 million jobs by 2030, with Africa facing significant challenges due to limited access to AI tools and low digital literacy.

Nseabasi Udondian, Executive Director of TechRise DTI, remarked that the initiative reflects the company's commitment to societal change through technology skills acquisition, stating that AI is meant to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.
