AGF Fagbemi Advocates Technology in Justice Sector

On Wednesday, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, highlighted the critical role of technology in the administration of justice during an event in Abuja. He stated that the Federal Ministry of Justice is taking tangible steps to embrace technology, specifically through the implementation of an electronic content management system (ECM).

This initiative is part of a broader commitment to enhance the operational capabilities of the ministry and reflects the government's recognition of the need to build institutional capacity, which includes both human resources and technological infrastructure. The event, tagged "JusticeTechNG Hackathon," was organized in collaboration with JusticeTech Nigeria Ltd GTE and Arravo Technology Ltd, attracting various stakeholders and technology experts.

Notable attendees included the Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Shaibu Salisu, and Chief Justice Kashim Zannah of Borno State, who delivered goodwill messages. Fagbemi's speech underscored a renewed hope agenda, emphasizing that national development fundamentally relies on trust.
