Tension in Bauchi APC: Yuguda Accuses Tuggar of Bribery

A significant political crisis has emerged within the Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following serious allegations made by former Governor Isa Yuguda against Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar. On Wednesday, Yuguda's camp publicly accused Tuggar of attempting to bribe party delegates with $150,000, allegedly to influence the outcome of the recent state congress and shift control of the party structure.

This accusation has been described as politically motivated by Tuggar's supporters, who claim it aims to discredit him within the party. Yuguda's media team, led by Dapo Okubanjo, issued a statement warning that Tuggar's actions could jeopardize party unity in the North East region.

Yuguda emphasized that he has not engaged in unnecessary political conflict and remains focused on strengthening the APC in Bauchi to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid. The situation reflects a deeper internal struggle within the party, with Yuguda recalling his past political relationship with Tuggar.
