Tuggar Purchases ₦50 Million APC Form for Bauchi Guber

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tuggar, has officially entered the 2027 governorship race for Bauchi State by purchasing a ₦50 million nomination form from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday. During his visit to the APC secretariat in Bauchi, he signed the necessary documents to receive the nomination form.

Tuggar previously declared his intent to contest, highlighting the need for unity within the party amidst recent divisions. He is committed to complying with President Bola Tinubu's directive for political appointees to resign from their positions by March 2026 if they seek elected office.

Tuggar has pledged to support whoever emerges as the APC candidate and has stressed the importance of avoiding legal battles against fellow aspirants to maintain party cohesion. His governorship ambitions are driven by the urgent need to tackle socio-economic challenges in Bauchi, including poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and gaps in education and healthcare.

He promises to prioritize agriculture and support small and medium-scale enterprises while ensuring timely payment of worker salaries and improving access to quality education and healthcare services.
