Terrorists Abduct Housewife and Son in Kwara Attack

Tension in Kwara State heightened over the weekend when suspected terrorists abducted a housewife and her son in Edu Local Government Area. The incident took place on Saturday night as residents were preparing for sleep.

Armed assailants shot sporadically, causing panic and forcing people to flee into nearby bushes. A local source indicated that the terrorists were heavily armed and overpowered the victims.

The rise in kidnapping incidents has created fear in the community, especially following a recent attack that resulted in the death of two residents and the abduction of a trader named Rilwan Bello. In a separate incident, local vigilante groups successfully rescued three residents who had been abducted during a midnight attack.

The vigilantes mobilized quickly after receiving distress calls and confronted the bandits, forcing them to abandon their captives. The swift response of the local vigilante group was commended for preventing a prolonged kidnapping ordeal.
