Tinubu Orders Service Chiefs to Borno Amid Terror Surge

President Bola Tinubu has instructed service chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, in response to a recent increase in terrorist activities. This directive follows a suicide bombing on Monday that resulted in the deaths of at least 23 individuals, attributed to suspected members of Boko Haram.

The statement was made public through a report signed and released on Tuesday. President Tinubu expressed condolences to the people of Borno regarding the recent terror attacks and reaffirmed the Nigerian military's determination to win the war against insurgency.

This announcement came after a security meeting with leaders of security and intelligence agencies held the previous week, where additional equipment and operational support were approved to enhance military capabilities. Furthermore, Tinubu has charged the emergency agencies to provide adequate care for the injured victims of the attacks.
