Tinubu Vows to Defeat Terrorism After Borno Attacks

President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences for the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State, which occurred on Monday. In a formal reaction released on Tuesday morning, he assured Nigerians that the country would not succumb to fear and reiterated his administration's resolve to confront and completely defeat security threats, particularly terrorism.

Tinubu described the attacks as desperate acts by evil-minded terrorist groups and expressed optimism regarding the capabilities of the nation's military and civilian task forces to curtail and eliminate these threats. He disclosed that the Chief of Defence Staff has relocated to Maiduguri to oversee the situation directly.

Tinubu emphasized that there is no safe haven for terrorists in Nigeria and that efforts to enhance military capabilities are ongoing. He also expressed solidarity with the people of Borno during this challenging time and commended the courage and fighting spirit of the armed forces.
