Governor Alia Condemns Terrorist Attack in Benue State

Hyacinth Alia of Benue State condemned a recent terrorist attack in the Ojantel ward of Apa Local Government Area, describing it as senseless and tragic. The attack involved an ambush on innocent farmers from Akpet, who were harvesting cashew seeds.

Reports indicate that six individuals were killed, and a young girl was abducted during this brutal incident. Governor Alia expressed deep sorrow over the attack, labeling it an unacceptable act of violence against citizens pursuing legitimate means of livelihood.

He assured the affected community and families of the victims that the state government stands firmly with them during this difficult time. The governor also disclosed that security agencies are intensifying operations in the area to track down the perpetrators and rescue the abducted girl.

He reaffirmed the administration's commitment to protecting lives and property across the state and emphasized that no community would be abandoned to violence.
