First Lady Launches ₦1bn Digital Centre at UNICROSS

On Friday, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, commissioned a ₦1bn Information and Communication Technology Digital Experience Centre at the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) in Calabar. This facility aims to expand access to digital tools and skills for students, particularly those who cannot afford personal devices.

Established under the Renewed Hope Initiative in collaboration with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), the centre offers free access to laptops, desktop computers, and other digital learning resources. Tinubu emphasized that the project is part of a broader national initiative to provide digital opportunities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
