TETFund to Boost Support for Nigerian Air Force Education

On March 10, 2026, Arch Sonni Echono, the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), visited the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) headquarters to renew partnerships aimed at enhancing the tertiary education system within NAF institutions. Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek expressed profound appreciation for TETFund's long-standing support, particularly in technical and academic training.

He acknowledged TETFund's influence in building infrastructure and providing quality education, noting that the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) has significantly benefited from TETFund's interventions. Anek highlighted AFIT's evolution over 48 years into a multidisciplinary center of excellence, producing highly skilled personnel for Nigeria's aviation and aerospace defense sectors.

He emphasized the need for further support, including the establishment of an artificial intelligence and robotics laboratory, and proposed the construction of a security perimeter with smart surveillance systems. Acknowledging TETFund's contributions to healthcare education, Anek noted the importance of training personnel to meet military and civilian needs.
