TETFund Supports N3 Billion AI Centre at FULokoja

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) is backing the establishment of a N3 billion Artificial Intelligence Centre at the Federal University Lokoja. On June 9, 2023, a three-member TETFund delegation led by Prof.

Olufunk R. Vincent visited the university to evaluate its compliance with requirements for the center.

The delegation included Moham Nasir Salilu, Deputy Director at TETFund, and Fatima Muhammad. During the visit, they met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Gbenga Solomon Ibiley, to discuss the implementation of the center. TETFund aims to appoint a director for the center and establish an advisory board comprising industry experts and stakeholders.

The project is designed to expand opportunities for technological development and professional training within Kogi State. The delegation expressed confidence in the university's capacity to host the center, which is part of TETFund's initiative to promote research and innovation in technology across Nigeria.
