Nigerian Afrobeat star Davido responded to a public apology from his official streamer, Davrel, following criticism for an incident during the burial ceremony of Israel DMW’s late father in Edo State. A video from the event showed Davrel sitting in a chair reportedly reserved for Davido, with one leg on the seat while Davido stood nearby.

This behavior led to backlash from Davido's fans, known as the 30 Billion Gang (30BG), who accused Davrel of disrespecting the singer. In response to the criticism, Davrel issued a public apology to Davido's fanbase.

Davido reacted to this apology in the comments section of the video, advising Davrel to be smarter now that he has joined his crew and reminding him that "the world is watching." He concluded his message with "Good job son. Move better n be smarter the world is watching u now. love u.".
