Theophilus Okoka Assumes Duty as Akwa Ibom Controller of Corrections, Pledges to Sustain Progress

Theophilus Okoka has taken over as the new Controller of Corrections in Akwa Ibom State, replacing Frank Okonkwo. The handover ceremony was confirmed by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) spokesperson, Richard Metong.

Okoka expressed gratitude for the support received during his predecessor's tenure and promised to maintain and strengthen the security, welfare of staff, and inmate reform initiatives. He aims to uphold the core mandate of the NCoS.

Okoka's assumption of duty follows the immediate retirement of Frank Okonkwo.
