Wike Dismisses Banditry Claims in Abuja as Exaggerated

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), addressed concerns regarding banditry in Abuja, asserting that there is no banditry in the capital. During an inspection of ongoing projects in the Federal Capital on a Monday, Wike acknowledged that while there are incidents of crime, reports of banditry are exaggerated.

He emphasized that Abuja remains secure, crediting the effectiveness of security agencies in tackling crime. Wike praised the dedication of these agencies and called for public recognition of their efforts in maintaining safety in the nation's capital.
