Abiodun Accuses Gbenga Daniel of Media Attack Sponsorship

During an Ogun East APC stakeholders meeting on Tuesday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun accused Senator Gbenga Daniel of sponsoring negative media attacks against him amid rising tensions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Abiodun's allegations came as Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, rejected the outcomes of a recent APC caucus meeting in Ijebu Ode, which he described as null and void despite a consensus arrangement.

Daniel has also purchased an APC nomination form to seek re-election to the Senate. Abiodun recounted their political relationship, emphasizing Daniel's role in his emergence as governor and his support for Daniel's return to the APC upon taking office.

The governor expressed appreciation for the support of APC leaders in Ogun East and pledged strong backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that Ogun State delivered the highest number of votes in the Southwest during the last elections.
