Gbenga Daniel Alleges Violence Plans by Gov Abiodun

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, raised concerns on Tuesday regarding Governor Dapo Abiodun's alleged plans to use violence to intimidate members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the upcoming senatorial primary elections for Ogun East. Speaking during an empowerment program organized by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daniel asserted that he remains a popular choice among party members in the district.

He accused the Ogun State government of attempting to suppress voter participation during the primaries and claimed that tensions within the party have escalated following a recent APC stakeholders meeting. During this meeting, Governor Abiodun reportedly endorsed a consensus candidate for the senatorial seat.

Additionally, Daniel criticized the state government for failing to facilitate development projects in Ogun East and highlighted ongoing challenges in healthcare infrastructure, questioning the government's commitment to improving medical staff at public health facilities.
