Abiodun Ayoyinka Discusses Fame Struggles as Papa Ajasco

Abiodun Ayoyinka, a veteran Nigerian actor known for portraying the iconic character Papa Ajasco, has opened up about the challenges he faces despite his fame. In an interview with media personality Lucky Udu, Ayoyinka discussed issues related to trademark ownership of the character, which is legally registered to Wale Adenuga Productions.

This registration limits Ayoyinka's ability to engage in commercial projects or appear in advertisements without permission, even when companies express interest in using his famous persona. He highlighted that this restriction complicates opportunities for him, as he does not have exclusive rights to the name or costume associated with Papa Ajasco.

Ayoyinka also shared personal struggles, revealing that he does not own a house or a car and has faced difficulties since retiring from the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture five years ago. He emphasized that life has been challenging, making it hard to connect with people and secure work.
