Funke Olaode Completes Executive Programs at Harvard

Funke Olaode, the editor at Thisday, has successfully completed executive programs at Harvard University and two other leading global institutions. A graduate of the Polytechnic Ibadan in 2002 with upper credit honors in mass communication, she began her career as a freelance journalist, interviewing notable figures in Oyo State.

Olaode served as a course instructor at Sokoto Polytechnic during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2003-2004, where she earned an Outstanding Performance Award. In 2009, she completed her Master’s in Communication Arts at the University of Ibadan.

With over 20 years of experience in journalism, she has held various roles, including assistant editor and editor at Thisday. Recently, she relocated to London and completed advanced certifications in strategic communication at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, which will enhance her skills in stakeholder mapping and high-level communication planning.
