Frank and Postecoglou Join World Cup Punditry Teams

Thomas Frank has signed a deal to be the lead analyst for BBC Sport during the 2026 World Cup, while Ange Postecoglou will provide coverage for ITV. This development comes after both men faced disappointing managerial tenures, with Frank having a record of just 13 wins in 38 matches at Tottenham Hotspur, leading to his dismissal in February.

Postecoglou was also sacked from Nottingham Forest after failing to secure a single win in five games. Alongside Frank, veteran analysts such as Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer, and Joe Hart will contribute to the BBC's coverage.

ITV's panel will feature former Arsenal player Olivier Giroud and ex-Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, among others. The World Cup will be broadcast live by both BBC and ITV, covering all 104 matches, including the final on July 19.
