Thought Pyramid Art Centre Unveils 20 Finalists for Next of Kin Series 8 Exhibition

Thought Pyramid Art Centre has revealed the 20 finalists for its eighth edition of the Next of Kin Series, centered around the theme "Fragment." The project, led by Ovi Omatsola, aims to explore the evolving nature of human identity through art. The finalists include artists from Nigeria, South Africa, and the African diaspora, showcasing a diverse range of creative interpretations.

Mentors like Dr. Adeola Balogun and Olatoy David emphasized the importance of developing a personal voice and strategic positioning in the international art market.

The exhibition will run from April 5 to May 8, with the overall winner receiving a solo exhibit prize worth 6 million Naira. The project is supported by sponsors like Nigeria Machine Tools, TrustBanc, and Africa Foundation, highlighting its commitment to nurturing emerging African talent in the art world.
