Threats to Nwoko's Re-election May Hinder Anioma State Bid

The Anioma State Creation Movement has expressed concerns that threats to Senator Ned Nwoko's re-election could undermine the decades-long campaign for the creation of Anioma State, which encompasses nine local government areas in Delta State. The group, represented by media director Tonni Oganah, criticized the current state creation process, attributing delays to unpatriotic political individuals opposing the initiative.

They emphasized Nwoko's commitment to advocating for the cause, noting his significant investment of time and resources. The statement highlighted that no one from Anioma has previously sacrificed as much for the people.

The group called on APC leadership, particularly President Bola Tinubu, to ensure justice for Nwoko, citing his loyalty to the party. They urged the Anioma people to support Nwoko's vision, asserting that the creation of a new state would provide job opportunities and reduce crime, thereby benefiting all residents.
