Gunmen Attack Kano Community, Leaving Three Dead

On Monday night, an armed attack by gunmen in the Yankamay community of Tsanyawa Local Government Area, Kano State, resulted in the deaths of three individuals. Residents reported that the assailants invaded the community, firing indiscriminately at homes, which led to widespread fear and confusion.

Saifullahi Sulaiman, a resident of Sorodaya Village, indicated that many people were forced to abandon their homes due to the continuous gunfire. Additionally, several individuals sustained injuries during the attack and were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, residents of Yankamay urged security agencies to intensify surveillance and deploy additional personnel to prevent further attacks in the area. As of the time of reporting, security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
