Armed Attack in Heipang: Three Killed, One Injured

On a recent midnight attack in Heipang, Plateau State, three members of the community were killed, and one was severely injured. This assault, which occurred in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, is noted as the second attack on the Heipang community within a week.

The victims were reportedly ambushed while on duty as part of the community's vigilant watch. The injured individual is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.

Following the attack, security operations led to the arrest of a suspect identified as Suleiman, a Fulani man from the Riyom Local Government Area, near the Redempt Camp area in Heipang. Eyewitness accounts indicated that bloodstains were found at the time of the arrest.

Rwang Tengwong, a representative of the Berom Youth Moulder Association, confirmed the incident and condemned the violence, urging security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the swift prosecution of the suspects. The group emphasized the need for community vigilance and reporting of suspicious activities to prevent further violence.
