Three Reps Leave APC for ADC and PRP Amid Disagreements

On Wednesday, three members of the House of Representatives announced their defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the People's Redemption Party (PRP). Rabilu Bala, representing Jama Ita Gadau in Bauchi State, formally left the APC to join the PRP, with Speaker Tajudeen Abba reading Bala's resignation letter on the floor of the chamber.

Bala attributed his decision to persistent internal disagreements within the APC, expressing a need to pursue a political platform that would better serve the interests of his constituents. Abubakar Zango, representing Yola North, Yola South, and Girei in Adamawa State, also announced his resignation from the APC, subsequently defecting to the ADC, stating that his decision was guided by conscience and a commitment to broader national interests.

Additionally, Abdullahi El-Rashe, representing Dukku Nafada in Gombe State, defected from the APC to the ADC.
