Sisters Jane Adetoro, Christina, and Rebecca Walters drown in Brighton

An inquest in the United Kingdom has determined that three sisters, Jane Adetoro (36), Christina Walters (32), and Rebecca Walters (31), drowned in the sea off Brighton, taking their own lives. The sisters had been living together in Greenford, London, and were described as having lived “very secluded lives” following their mother’s death in 2010.
Their cousin, Natalie Walters-Daniel, stated that the loss profoundly affected them. On May 11, they traveled from London to Birmingham, visiting their mother’s grave and Brookvale Lake, where she drowned.
They arrived in Brighton on May 12 and were last seen alive at 2:42 am on May 13. The coroner, Penelope Schofield, noted their extreme privacy and indicated that the reasons for their actions might never be known.
Police found extensive searches about suicide on Christina's laptop, and while Christina had a history of anxiety and depression, Jane was not registered with a doctor. All three women were pronounced dead at the scene, with no evidence of drugs or violence found.
