Thugs Disrupt APC Ward Congress in Delta State

On Wednesday, during the APC ward congress at Azagba Primary School in Otor Owh, Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, thugs allegedly loyal to lawmaker Jonathan Ukodhiko disrupted the proceedings. Party members had gathered around 7 AM when the suspects stormed the location, leading to significant unrest.

Members expressed their anger and described the disruption as an undue interference, insisting on the need for credible elections that reflect genuine will. Tensions heightened as the thugs reportedly acted on behalf of the federal lawmaker, who was accused of attempting to impose a ward executive structure contrary to the wishes of party members.

Simpli Kome, an APC member, accused Ukodhiko of desperation ahead of the 2027 elections, while Richard Isagba was also implicated in attempts to alter an agreed-upon consensus list. The APC local government area chairman, Ebemuno, acknowledged the leadership meeting and confirmed that violence had led to the cancellation of the congress.
