Thugs Set ADC Secretariat Ablaze as Amaechi Arrives

On Thursday night, thugs set the ADC Secretariat in Ubima, Rivers State, ablaze as Chibuike Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State and past Minister of Transport, arrived for a political registration event. The attack occurred ahead of Amaechi's visit, with reports indicating that the assailants were armed and fired sporadically in the area.

Following the incident, the thugs reportedly reappeared on Friday morning, establishing roadblocks on the Omuawa-Ubima road to prevent ADC supporters from entering the community. Local residents informed newsmen about the security intervention mobilized to restore normalcy, as the thugs chased away police forces.

The Rivers State Police spokesperson, CSP Grace Iring Koko, did not respond to requests for confirmation regarding the incidents.
