Timi Frank Praises Bishops for Speaking Truth to Tinubu

Comrade Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), praised the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) for their boldness in confronting President Bola Tinubu regarding the nation's economic challenges and the risks of a one-party state. In a statement made in Abuja, Frank lauded the bishops for their courage in delivering what he termed the "bitter truth" directly to the President.

He called on other Christian and Muslim leaders to emulate this example by demanding accountability from the government. Frank criticized some religious leaders, particularly from the Pentecostal community, for not being forthright after visiting the Presidential Villa, alleging they return with altered narratives.

He also accused the Tinubu administration of exacerbating issues like corruption, insecurity, and unemployment, questioning the legacy Tinubu would leave behind. Frank expressed concern that the administration might manipulate the upcoming 2027 elections, suggesting that Tinubu would not succeed in a fair electoral contest.
