Tunji-Ojo Lauds Tinubu's Visionary Leadership in Immigration

At the closing ceremony of the Specialised Border Control and Immigration Management System (BCIMS) Training at the Immigration Headquarters in Abuja, Minister Tunji-Ojo commended President Bola Tinubu for his visionary leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Tunji-Ojo stated that Tinubu focuses on future prosperity, emphasizing the importance of building enduring institutions.

He noted that Tinubu has resolved backlogs of promotions, resulting in over 50,000 personnel receiving new ranks within three years. Additionally, he highlighted an increase in recruitment, with 40,000 new recruits added.

Tunji-Ojo acknowledged Tinubu's efforts in salary increments and enhancements to hazard and peculiar allowances. He also praised Tinubu for improving pensions for retired Comptrollers-General of Immigration, stating that pensions had been raised from approximately N130,000 to a lifetime salary for CGs and DCGs.

Tunji-Ojo concluded by stating that Tinubu has prioritized the welfare of immigration services more than any previous president.
