Tinubu Declared Nigeria's Greatest Leader by PEBEC DG

Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, the Director General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), has proclaimed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “Nigeria’s greatest-ever leader.” She argued that his legacy should be evaluated based on institution-building and challenging reforms rather than short-term comfort. Audu traced Tinubu’s political journey from his time as a senator in the Third Republic, a pro-democracy activist, and his two terms as Governor of Lagos State starting in 1999.

She acknowledged the hardships imposed by Tinubu's administration's removal of the petrol subsidy and other economic reforms but defended these actions as necessary for confronting Nigeria's structural issues. Audu stated that effective leadership involves making difficult decisions for long-term stability.

She linked PEBEC's reforms to Tinubu’s ambition of achieving a $1 Trillion Economy by 2030, asserting that Nigeria has never been more efficient and accountable. Audu concluded that while Tinubu's work remains unfinished, his historical significance is undeniable.
