Tinubu Appoints Yakubu Jang as Senior Special Assistant

President Bola Tinubu appointed Yakubu Jang, son of former Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang, as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) in the Office of the President. The announcement was made on Saturday during the 80th birthday celebration and autobiography launch of Jonah Jang in Jos, Plateau State.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Tinubu, disclosed the appointment while delivering the President’s goodwill message. Shettima stated that the appointment reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to incorporating competent individuals into government and ensuring broad representation in national leadership.

The announcement was well-received by guests at the event, which took place at the Tamarald Event Centre and included prominent figures such as former President Goodluck Jonathan, various state governors, and other dignitaries. Jonah Jang, who has had a distinguished career in public service, also unveiled his autobiography titled "Airman to Politics: My Life," detailing his journey from military service to political leadership.
