‘Tinubu Approved Employment Of 50 Doctors, 100 Nurses And Posting Of NYSC Doctors To Correctional Centers’ – Minister

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi, revealed on Channels Television's Politics Today that President Tinubu approved the employment of 50 doctors and 100 nurses for correctional centers. The minister highlighted the need for medical staff in facilities that were built over 100 years ago.

Additionally, he mentioned that NYSC doctors would be posted to these centers. Currently, 12,246 custodial centers in Nigeria are undergoing rehabilitation.

The government is focusing on strengthening these facilities through intelligence work. The minister emphasized the importance of fortifying the custodial centers to ensure the well-being of inmates and staff.
