Tinubu Congratulates Adeleke on Re-election in Osun

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election for another four-year term following the governorship election held on Saturday. In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu urged Adeleke to unite the people of Osun State after a divisive election.

He described the re-election as a confirmation of the people's confidence in Adeleke and emphasized the importance of social and economic progress. Adeleke, who represents the Accord Party, defeated APC candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner on Sunday morning, with State Returning Officer, Professor Joshua Ogunwole, overseeing the result collation. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo also visited Adeleke to congratulate him.

The APC is currently reviewing the election results for potential anomalies.
