Oyebamiji Congratulates Adeleke, Urges Peace in Osun

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recent Osun State governorship election, congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory during a speech to APC leaders and supporters in Osogbo on Saturday. He expressed his congratulations “in the spirit of democracy” following the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) declaration of the election results.

Oyebamiji urged Adeleke to protect the lives and property of all residents, particularly during the sensitive post-election period, and called for an end to violence and intimidation targeting APC members. He demanded an investigation into the deaths of several individuals, including former Irewole Local Government chairman Remi Abass and APC chairman Gbenga Ogbara, among others.

Oyebamiji emphasized the need for security to foster economic growth and urged his supporters to remain steadfast in their faith in democracy, expressing gratitude to key figures such as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former governor Bisi Akande for their support during his campaign.
