Tinubu Celebrates Pate's 58th Birthday and Health Contributions

On September 6, President Bola Tinubu extended birthday congratulations to Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, recognizing his impactful contributions to Nigeria's health sector. In a statement issued on Sunday, Tinubu described Pate as a distinguished health professional whose expertise has been vital to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He noted the revitalization of over 3,100 primary healthcare centers and the reorganization of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), which has allowed more than 37 million Nigerians to access basic healthcare services. Tinubu highlighted significant investments in health infrastructure, including the establishment of three oncology centers and the recruitment of over 20,000 health professionals into federal tertiary hospitals, alongside training for over 78,000 frontline health workers.

Additionally, he mentioned that more than 17.1 million adolescent girls received HPV vaccinations. The President commended Pate for facilitating over $5 billion in project pipelines through the PVAC, wishing him continued health and strength in his service to the nation.
