Tinubu Congratulates Samson Adamu as CAF Secretary

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Nigerian football administrator Samson Adamu on his appointment as the acting General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as stated in a release issued on Saturday, March 29, 2026, by his special adviser, Bayo Onanuga. Adamu's appointment is significant as it marks the first time a Nigerian has held a top administrative role in CAF since its establishment in 1957. Previously, Adamu served as CAF's Director of Tournament Events and assumed his new role following the departure of Veron Mosengo Omba.
