Monimichelle Urges CAF's Adamu to Improve African Pitches

Ebi Egb, the CEO of Monimichelle Sport Facility Limited, congratulated Samson Adamu on his recent appointment as the General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Egb emphasized that Adamu's hard work and diligence have earned him this esteemed position, highlighting his previous role as Director of CAF's tournament events, where he managed logistics for major continental competitions.

Egb advised Adamu to prioritize the elimination of poor football pitches across Africa, which he believes is a significant factor hindering the continent's ability to showcase its abundant talent. He noted that only a few African countries have good playing surfaces, which affects the quality of football.

Egb criticized the use of artificial turf, advocating for natural materials that do not injure players. He mentioned Monimichelle's recent projects, including the FIFA-certified Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne and renovations at Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt and Zamfara Stadium, as examples of efforts to improve playing surfaces in Nigeria.
