Tinubu Begins Two-Day State Visit to the UK

On Tuesday morning, President Bola Tinubu departed from Abuja for a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom, following an invitation from King Charles III. The visit is expected to result in the signing of several agreements and memoranda aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UK.

Tinubu was seen off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by notable officials, including his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike. The visit will include a special exhibit at Windsor Castle featuring items related to Nigeria, private discussions, and a state banquet hosted by the royal family.

Additionally, President Tinubu is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, and security.
